## App Framework Support

When you seal an app, the Developer Console asks which framework the app was built with. These are the frameworks it offers.

### Android

Select the framework under **Select your app framework** on the **Basic Configuration** step of **Apply AppSealing**.

| **App Framework** | **Type** | **Minimum sealing version** |
| :---------------- | :------- | :-------------------------- |
| Native \| Java \| Kotlin | Native | – |
| Unity | Native | – |
| Unreal | Native | – |
| Flutter | Native | – |
| Xamarin | Native | 2.26.0.0 |
| React Native | Hybrid | – |
| Ionic | Hybrid | 1.3.0.0 |
| Cordova | Hybrid | 1.3.0.0 |
| Others | Native | – |

Hybrid frameworks are marked **Hybrid** in the list. When a framework has a minimum sealing version, only that version and later are offered in the sealing version list.

### iOS

Select the framework under **App Framework** when you create an SDK project or download the SDK.

| **App Framework** | **Type** |
| :---------------- | :------- |
| Xcode & Flutter | Native |
| Unity | Native |
| Unreal | Native |
| Xamarin | Native |
| React Native | Hybrid |
| Ionic | Hybrid |
| Cordova | Hybrid |

**Note:**
Native and hybrid frameworks are covered by separate plans. If the plan that covers a framework is no longer valid (for example, an expired trial), the framework is marked **Expired** in the list.

## React Native Version Support

On Android, support depends on which JavaScript engine the app is built with. Hermes is the
default engine from React Native 0.70 onward; JSC is the legacy engine and is not supported.

The table below covers the **current Android sealing line (3.2.x)**, which supports React Native
0.79 and above. Older React Native versions are covered by the
[legacy hybrid line](#legacy-hybrid-sealing-line-17x) instead.

| **React Native Version** | **React Native Official Status** | **DoveRunner Android (Hermes)** | **DoveRunner Android (JSC)** | **DoveRunner iOS** |
| :----------------------- | :------------------------------- | :------------------------------ | :--------------------------- | :----------------- |
| 0.87 | Active | Supporting | Not Supporting | Not Supporting |
| 0.86 | Active | Supporting (from 3.2.0.3) | Not Supporting | Supporting (from 1.15.0.0) |
| 0.85 | Active | Supporting | Not Supporting | Supporting |
| 0.84 | Active | Supporting | Not Supporting | Supporting |
| 0.83 | Active | Supporting | Not Supporting | Supporting (from 1.12.0.0) |
| 0.82 | Active | Supporting | Not Supporting | Supporting (from 1.12.0.0) |

| 0.80 | Active | Supporting | Not Supporting | Supporting (from 1.12.0.0) |
| 0.79 | Active | Supporting | Not Supporting | Supporting (from 1.12.0.0) |
| 0.78 | Archived/unmaintained | Archived/unmaintained | Not Supporting | Supporting |
| 0.77 | Archived/unmaintained | Archived/unmaintained | Not Supporting | Supporting |
| 0.76 – 0.70 | Archived | Archived/unmaintained | Not Supporting | Supporting |
| 0.69 – 0.6 | Archived | Not Supporting | Not Supporting | Not Supporting |

**Note:**
A version shown in parentheses is the minimum sealing version required for that combination —
an Android sealing version for the Android columns, and an iOS SDK sealing version for the iOS
column. Select it on the **Basic Configuration** step of the Developer Console, or in the
**Download SDK** dialog for iOS.

### Legacy Hybrid Sealing Line (1.7.x)

For React Native, the Android sealing version dropdown offers a separate `1.7.x` line alongside
the current `3.2.x` line. It exists to cover React Native versions the current line no longer
targets.

| Sealing line | React Native versions | Notes |
| :----------- | :-------------------- | :---- |
| **3.2.x** (current) | 0.79 and above | Hermes only. Use this for new work. |
| **1.7.x** (legacy hybrid) | 0.70 – 0.84.1 | `1.7.13.0` is built on sealing version `2.35.1.1`. |

**Caution:**
From React Native 0.84, the default Hermes engine is Hermes v1. Apps that still use legacy Hermes
on 0.84 or later are **not** supported by the `1.7.x` line — plan your migration to the current
line before upgrading React Native.
