What’s New

  • Switched DRM Integration from PlayReady to Widevine
    The sample application now demonstrates Widevine DRM integration on the Roku platform, replacing the previous PlayReady-based implementation.
    This update enables developers to test and evaluate Widevine license acquisition and playback flow using Roku’s Media Player (RAF + DASH + Widevine) support.

Key Changes

  • Updated the DRM license acquisition flow to use Widevine-compliant license requests compatible with Widevine license servers.

  • Adjusted player configuration and metadata to align with Roku’s Widevine DRM support via EME (Encrypted Media Extensions) and Stream Format support.
